One roommates made Texas Roadhouse rolls. Awesome. I decided to try one when I got home from my trip.

My roommate suggested I heat the roll up so that it would taste delicious.

I put it on for 1 minute. And didn't think anything of it.


I opened my microwave and the smoke billowed out. I had successfully blackened the roll, burning the flour on top? That's the hypothesis.

To avoid setting off our fire alarm at 1 in the morning, there was some desperate fanning and lots of laughter. Needless to say, the roll was as hard as rock.

I tried again. As it turns out, 10 seconds is a perfect amount of time.

Yeah, I'm a gourmet cook, in case you were wondering.
